Found Dog ,Friendswood south of Houston Texas POSTED DATE 8-25-06 Last Friday (8/18/06) while on her lunch break, my wife Cathy found a 6 year old (?) female American Foxhound (without a collar) along the side of highway FM518 in Friendswood, Texas just south of Houston. Cathy works for a Vet, so she took her to back to the office and gave her a much-needed bath, meds, water, and food. “Lady”, as we have named her, weighed a mere 33.6 pounds and did not have a “chip”. From the looks of it, Lady has been on the road for quite some time. Cathy brought her home Friday evening and ever since then she has been sleeping a great deal and relaxing. We have continued to give her fluids, small portions of food 4 or 5 times a day, and lots of TLC. As of this morning, Lady is doing much better. She is now walking, playing, running a little with our other pets (2-Chihuahuas, a border collie, 5 cats, and two horses) and showing her sweet personality. We believe Lady was an inside dog because she is house broken, well behaved, and well mannered. We have posted Lady’s picture and information as a “Found” dog on all of the web sites we can find but no response yet. As you can see, we have many pets already and if we cannot find her owner, we would like to find a foster home or adoption organization to help find a good home for Lady…as quickly as practical. We still haven't found them, but we continue to look. She's been going to shelters looking and found these two Cocker Spaniels/mix? They were together at BARC here in Houston. We aren't sure if they were found together, but they seem to know each other. They look around for the other. They broke her heart and she adopted them so they wouldn't be put down. We are trying to find their owners. We call him Fred - He's brown and a light tan color. BARC says he's 3 and about 23 pounds. He seems to be somewhat house trained, and responds to sit and down a bit. He's very gentle and calm. I have attached his picture. We call her Sasha - She's golden brown and a little tan. FOUND DOG HOUSTON TX POSTED DATE: 1-12-06 : We found this beautiful dog near Highway 6 and 521. She was living at a construction site and had puppies. When we found her, both puppies were only 1 week old. One of the puppies was attacked by another animal before we found him and had terrible wounds. Luckily, we found him and took him to the vet. He is completely healed up now! We are caring for all 3 dogs and all are up for adoption. The puppies will be available on March 1 and will be handed off to their new families complete with shots & neutering/spaying. The mother will be available on March 1, too. We named the mother Sadie and she seems to be a mix of Lab and Pointer/Heeler. She is house-trained, knows sit/lay down/shake/stay, and has never barked! She is good with our cats, our dogs (we have a Dalmation, Lab and Jack Russell) and children that have been around her. She is very docile and submissive but friendly to everyone.
