POSTED DATE 3-11-08 : I lost my dog, Gidget, sometime during business hours on Monday, March 10. She dug out of my yard in S. Central Austin during a storm and has not been seen since then. Gidget is 8 years old, weighs about 50lbs., and is a brown & white mutt with some black in her tail. She's sweet and friendly, although she needs to establish dominance around other dogs. UPDATE 3-5-08 Chewlo has been found !! A group of wonderful neighbors in Balcones Woods had been leaving water, food and shelter out for the stray dog that they noticed on their street for the past two days. Another dog lover of that neighborhood noticed the stray also, and happend to check LOSTADOG.com . She recongzied the dog from the pictures I posted, and called my number. Chewlo is now safe.

POSTED DATE 12-18-07 : My dog, Merlin, went missing today at about 1:45 pm when a worker left my gate open. Merlin is about 9 years old but acts like a puppy. He's very friendly and playful. He is about 30 lbs with black curly hair with a little bit of grey. His hair is kind of long right now and looks unkempt. He has a white spot on his chest and also a white spot around his snout. He has seizures and he also has a thyroid problem that he takes medicine for.

POSTED DATE 9-30-07 : Someone, (the meter reader?), let one of my Basenjis out of my yard on 9/17 and I haven't seen him since. I've posted about 400 flyers, placed an ad in the Statesman, on Craig's List and several other websites as well as checked with both Town Lake and Williamson County Animal Shelters. I'm heartbroken over it-as his is sister. I'm attaching a photo of the two of them. His name is Ataboy and he's a red & white male, neutered Basenji. He weighs approximately 27 lbs. and was wearing a red collar when he disappeared. I live west of McNeil off of Parmer Lane but have a concrete eyewitness that places him on the other side of McNeil in the Tamayo/Anderson Mill neighborhood. POSTED DATE 3-14-07 : Sheila dug out of the backyard in the Milwood neighborhood during the storm yesterday and pulled her collar off in the process. She's a 5 yrs. old, spayed blue merle. She has been missing since Mon, 1/29/07 around the Wells Branch / Thermal / Benchmark / Howard Lane area. The area is an industrial area close to Northwest Elementary School. Businesses include Vipa's Automotive, Gilbert's Automotive, Master Technicians, and Capital Foundations.
CASH REWARD will be paid for her safe return. She was a rescue dog, and we love her and miss her very much. We've finally found an apartment that will take Pitt Bulls, and are moving next weekend. She was staying with someone in the area above until we moved.

| POSTED DATE 1-15-07 : Lost on 12/26/06-The day after Christmas Max escaped from the back yard. A neighbor and construction crew say he ran down to the corner of Newfield and Watchhill to play with the corner dog and got distracted by a cat. Then he was seen at the Windsor/Hartford intersection walking along the retaining wall. Someone may have picked him up. This was around 3 p.m. on the 26th. He may be in another part of town by now. He has a very loud howl. If any of your neighbors have a new dog that howls and bays at anything in sight, that might be our Max. If you have any additional information, please let us know. Max does have an AVID microchip and is neutered.
Additional Information:
He weighs 30 lbs., has white legs with brown freckles, brownish/blonde ears with one white stripe down the middle of his face, black back with a white mark on his rear end that has three black dots inside. He hurt his leg in November and is still on his medication. Please let us know if you have seen him or may have heard him. Ask friends, co-workers, your children, and your postmaster. Thanks!

Sometime between 12noon and 4pm my wonderful dog Cain disappeared from the property, despite a locked gate! I'm hoping somehow he just wandered off (unusual for him) and some caring person turned him into the pound, but please let me know if you've heard or seen anything.
He's a "blue" pit with a blue/grey coat, about 75lbs, has white markings on his nose, chest and feet, and is incredibly friendly. He answers to "Cain", although he's not wearing a collar due to his being washed the night before.

| POSTED DATE 9-26-06 : We returned from church Sunday (24th) to find our Belgian Malinois, “Autumn” missing. The back gate was open. We searched the neighborhood and questioned the neighbors. Someone reported seeing a dog that fit her description hit by a car on Duval near Davis Elementary in the Mesa Park neighborhood. But it got up and limped away. We continued to search but have not been able to find her.
Autumn is 5 ˝ years old and is commonly mistaken for a German Sheppard mix. She is fixed. And has also shed her collar, so she is not wearing her tags, but may be wearing a “choke” chain. She is friendly, but may be hurt and we are very worried.

| POSTED DATE 9-6-06 : Matty was last seen on Monday September 4, 2006 at 4 pm on Hewitt Ln. Hewitt Ln is at the southern end of Brodie Lane in South Austin/Manchaca. Brodie runs into 1626 that comes through Manchaca. We are assuming that she was headed away from the shotgun happy neighbors, that would put her headed southwest towards Buda, Marbridge or possibly west then north on Brodie into Shady Hollow.
She is a 14 years old but in fantastic health, slightly grey chin but all black fur. She is medium size, 40 lbs, has pointed ears, a black tongue, brown eyes and is very gentle with people and other animals. This is a first for her and I. So, with her age in mind, I really want to get her home.

| POSTED DATE 8-18-06 : Our new puppy dug out of our yard this afternoon. His name is Keifer
and he is about 3.5 months old.
He looks like a small german shepard mix and weighs about 10 lbs.
He was wearing a loose, red-brown leather collar, but does not have tags
as they haven't even had a chance to arrive in the mail yet.
He went missing in the Bauerle Ranch community in South Austin, near the
Slaughter/Manchaca intersection.

| POSTED DATE 8-8-06 : Max, a neutered male, brown and black dog went missing 8/3/06 in Austin when the lawn care people let him out. He is older, maybe 9-10 years old, with several broken teeth and a black and pink tongue. He has gained a lot of weight since this photo and probably is about 70 pounds. | UPDATE : THESE DOGS ARE HOME. POSTED DATE 8-7-06 : We just moved to Austin in the Anderson Mill area. My
2 dogs escaped the yard on 08/05/06. One of them I
don't have a picture of. He is a full blood White Male
German Shepherd. He's scared of people. His name is
Buddy. The other one is a female German Shepherd mix.
She is brown with black floppy ears and nose, and a
tail that curls over her back. Her picture is
included. Her name is Sierra.

| UPDATE : THIS DOG IS HOME. POSTED DATE 8-5-06 : Two of my dogs went missing from my back yard late last night/early this morning. The first is a 1 1/2 year old female chocolate lab. The second is a 3 1/2 year old male chocolate boykin spaniel and is smaller than the lab -- looks like a totally brown springer spaniel. I don't have any current pictures since the spaniel just got trimmed and looks totally different. The lab is a typical lab. They are best buds and will probably stay together. The female answers to Bella and the male answers to Major. They were last seen on Old Spicewood Springs road between bridges 6 and 7 around lunchtime on 8/5.

| UPDATE : THIS DOG IS HOME. POSTED DATE 8-4-06 : Our hearts are broken.Our 2 year old white English bull dog has wandered off. She walked out of an opened gate at around 8:00 Wednesday night. Her name is Peek-A-Boo. We live in the Anderson Mill neighborhood. She is very friendly and very much a part of the family. She needs her medication by the 15th. We love her so very,very much. If you see our baby wandering around please call her over and call us. While driving please watch for her..she knows nothing about roads. We are offering a reward.
