They are a male and a female - clearly very bonded. The female is blond with wavy hair on her neck & shoulders, has a brown nose, long skinny legs and a white face. On January 3, 2007 I found a great Pyrenees and a black lab together on hwy. 620 and El Salido parkway. This is on the Austin / Cedar Park city lines. The dogs could have come from anywhere including Leander, Texas.
I had them both checked out by the vet and have been foster homing them while searching for their owners. They are in great health and appear to be young adults 1 ˝ - 2 years of age. Both have been fixed. I do not know if they came form the same family or not but they have bonded well and the lab cries when separated from the Pyrenees. They are house trained and know most commands.
I have placed ads in the Austin American Statesman, Hill Country News, Austin Chronicle. I have posted signs in as many neighborhoods as I can and have listed them on craigslist.com. Also have made phone calls to all shelters and vets that I could.
Any way that you could assist to help me find these dogs owners I’d appreciate it. I have posted a lot of pictures of the dogs on www.wookiewilkes.com. Select the “Go to the Pictures!” words and it will bring up a bunch of .jpg files.
Attached are a few of them.
Please let me know what else I could possibly do to find the owners as my wife and I cannot house them for much longer and do not want to take them to a shelter or be separated if they do come from the same family.

| UPDATE 11-16-06 THIS DOG IS HOME. POSTED DATE 11-14-06 : a small black mixed breed female dog (approx 25lbs) that was wandering the 4600 block of Ridge Oak Drive in West Austin (Camp Mabry area). I found her around 9:30am Monday November 13, 2006. She did not have a collar & I took her to me vet and had her scanned for a chip. There was a chip but it is not registered. She is very friendly, trained, & gets attached easily. She does not leave your side so I know someone is missing her. I have placed ads in the Austin American Statesman, on Craigslist, posted fliers all over my neighborhood, knocked on doors, the list goes on. My dogs are not too happy having her around & I know she would prefer to be in her own home. I cannot bear to take her to the shelter just in case the owner does not check there. I am taking a flier to them though.

collar, no tags. He's an un-neutered male, no micro chip, my vet
estimates about 5 years old. I orginally thought he was some kind of
lab mix, but his vocal stylings indicate some hound or beagle presence
in the genetic stew.
He's gentle, well behaved, house broken and appears well cared for. I

| POSTED DATE 9-10-06 : I found a dog yesterday afternoon (9-6-06) on East Howard Lane near the intersection of I-35. He is a very sweet Lassa Apso, but has been extremely neglected. His hair is matted and infested with fleas and bugs (took him for a groom/shave this morning), and his skin is raw from flea bites. According to the vet he is @ 10 years old. He has lost a few of his teeth and has cataracts in his eyes, but his heart and bones are healthy. Found these two dogs at my apartment complex a day or so ago. They both have tags, I contacted Austin Humane Society and they gave me the names of the owners and phone numbers. I have been attempting to contact them for the last couple of days and have been unable to reach them. I also searched out their address and they have moved since. Both dogs are very nice animals and extremely sweet.
I found them on Cougar Drive near West Stassney Lane and South First Street in South Austin.
Their names are Quincy and Honey Bear. Quincy is a lab mix, and Honey Bear is a chow mix.
The owners are Roland and Sarah Ramirez. The last known phone numbers are 899-9652, 293-7893, and 899-2672. I have not been able to get anyone to answer. I will have to contact the Austin Town Lake Animal Shelter today if I can't reach the owners.

| Posted Date 7-11-06 This little guy was found on the 1800 block of Bouldin Ave around 7:00pm on 07/09/06.
He (male) is black and white with what seems to be a little brown around his mouth. He weighs 16.8 pounds and is very thin. He is quite friendly and runs up excitedly to each person who approaches him. Oddly enough, at the same time he's a growler (I've been told that the growling is simply a trait of this breeds nature and not an act of aggression).
He has obviously been on his own for quite some time (maybe even more than a month) as his black & white coat is in great disrepair and quite matted. There are weird indications though that he had some mats cut away in a few areas and his face looks like the hair had been trimmed. However, the rest of his coat doesn't show consistent upkeep. It's a little confusing.
He has a thinning patch on his lower-back just above tail. I've bathed him once and am trying to work on his numerous mats and tangles, hoping to bring him back to what I am sure was once a beautiful pet for someone.
He is house-broken and seems to be leash trained too. He loves to ride in a car and all but fell out trying to stick his head into the wind while on his way to the vet. Sadly he did not have a micro-chip.
He is eating and drinking well now and he follows me everywhere. I'm sure he's missing someone right now. If this little guy is yours or you know of his missing owner. He looks like he is a cocker spaniel mix (maybe some collie as well?). He is a neutered male who appears to be between 10-12 years of age. No collar. No microchip.

She was put into a metal crate in the groom shop in the front of the store. had been bad storms in the area the night before so perhaps she was
frightened or escaped. She has some gray or white around her muzzle but
appears and acts like a younger dog. She is well mannered and so sweet and

| Update 4-19-06 This dog is home. Posted Date : 4-08-06 I found Tabetha this morning roaming around on Croftwood Drive in South Austin, just off of Brodie. She seems to be very old. She is extremely weak physically. She seems cared for if her recently trimmed nails are any indication. All of the information on her tags is expired, phone numbers, vet information is from 2002. I've called the vet a couple of times and they're digging through old records to see what they can find. If it is the dog they think, she's 16 years old. We have three rambuctious dogs of our own, and given her age and physical condition, it was impossible to keep her here. We took her to Town Lake Animal Shelter because she seemed in need of some medical attention.

| UPDATE : 2-24-06 These dogs are home. Posted Date : 2-17-06 I found two poodles in The Crossing at Onion Creek subdivision today (located about 1/4 mile from Slaughter/1-35 intersection). They have '05 rabies tags but no phone number. They are safe and warm inside my home with food and water (inside my dogs' kennel). We are hoping to find the owner tonight as we cannot keep them long. We have also posted a sign at the entrance to our neighborhood.

Found this morning within the National Instruments grounds in North Austin off of North Mopac at Duval Rd. Doesn't look like they've been out long, still look healthy and clean and have collars on. The puppy appears to be just weaned, possibly 8-10 weeks old.

A mixed breed (Pitbull) puppy was found on January 6th in an industrial park off Burnet Road just north of 183. He was skin and bones and had a very tight collar on. (It was removed before he was given to me, so I can't describe it.) He is an intact male about 6-9 months old, brown with white markings. Very friendly and sweet, but I can't keep him. 512-452-4621

The dog is male and looks like a pit bull mix. He is very friendly and has a lot of puppy in him, though he listens very well. He’s not trained, but someone has been working with him. He is not aggressive at all. He is very clean and was not very hungry. So, I don’t believe he’s been lost/free for very long. You can call me at 512-331-2863.
